On 14.01.2016 Opening of the Japanese Film Festival in Yerevan

On 14.01.2016 at 18:00-20:00 p.m. at “Moscow” cinema took place the opening of the Japanese Film Festival dedicated to the first anniversary of the opening of the Embassy of Japan to Armenia, which was organized by the Embassy of Japan to Armenia, “Japan” foundation and  “Hikari” Armenian-Japanese Cultural Center.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the ambassador of Japan Eiji Taguchi welcomed the guests in Armenian. After it there delivered a speech the president of   “Hikari” Armenian-Japanese Cultural Center Karine Piliposyan, who mentioned that she was very happy, as before the beginning of the festival a lot of people, who were worried whether the festival would take place had constantly called her. There is an increase of interest towards the Japanese culture. After her speech, the choir of “Little Singers of Armenia” had an excellent performance for 15 minutes.

At the end, they showed the movie “Tokyo Losers”. Natsumi, who is a girl from a province, comes to Tokyo to study at the School of Arts. In order to pay the rent for the house, she has to work hard. For a good salary, she starts to work in a bar, where she meets Ryosuke. But the life she dreamed of, breaks down. The world, where Natsumi appears, makes her regret for coming to Tokyo….

At the end of the movie, the over-crowded hall burst with applauds and the audience left the hall with great impressions.
