«Armenian Little singers» junior choir return Armenia from Japan

«Armenian Little singers» junior choir is carrying 40-day concert tour in 18 cities of Japan.
Today choir director Tigran Hekekyan has given an interview. He noted that the concert program was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenian and Japanese diplomatic relations as well as to the 500th anniversary of Armenian typography. Moreover, the concert tour is dedicated to Yerevan World Book Capital, 2012. The city of Yerevan (Armenia) was named as the World Book Capital 2012 at the conclusion of the meeting of the selection committee, which was held
at UNESCO Headquarters on 2 July, 2012. The invitation was received by the «Min-On» organization which organizes nearly 1000 concerts
annually. This organization takes into account the following criteria: foreign musicians and choirs which have international recognition and high ranking position comparing with the same
type of choirs of Japan. Tigran Hekekyan stated that this invitation has also a studying goal. Moreover, this organization includes 8000 choirs. Maestro also mentioned that the concerts took place in the best Japanese concert halls with crowded audience. Our choir had 16 concerts and 6 meetings with a pair of choir. These meeting were great honor either for us or for Japanese part, too. Six songs were in Japanese language and the final concert was concluded in Japanese language, too. Besides, the success having from the concerts, the composer spoke about the hospitality and the leisure time that the children spent there in Japan. They had to go from the north to the south of the county twice. The children had either concerts or journey. They had a lot of meeting with the local choirs, too. The choir members also participated to the interview sharing their impressions concerning to Japanese hospitality and the attitude.
Hripsime Muradyan noted that the long concert tour was great experience for them and due to the Japanese people warm attitude they overcome it courageously. Little singer Hasmik Movsisyan said that their choir took Armenian art to Japan and they studied very developed Japanese culture, too. The other singer Anush Sahakyan stated that Japanese people seemed to be restrained in appearance; however, they are warm and careful. Tigran Hekekyan said that the expensive journey was sponsored not by the budget of the Republic of Armenia but by the inviting organization, including insurance, too.
