The Government approved the RA Government legislative initiative on the draft law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Ratification of Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of Japan for the Provision of “Economic and Social Development” Grant signed on June 30, 2020 in Yerevan”.

As reported by “Armenpress”, according to the substantiation of the decision, the Agreement on “Economic and Social Development” Grant Provision is a result of negotiations between the Governments of Armenia and Japan. It aims at developing economic cooperation with Japan and promoting economic and social development of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the Agreement, the Government of Japan will provide the Government of the Republic of Armenia with 400 million yen Grant, in the frameworks of which the Armenian side considers it expedient to acquire four-wheel drive (4WD) and “Mobile Medical Clinic” ambulances, which will be used in the regions of Armenia, especially in the mountainous regions in order to provide medical assistance to the population.

The presence of the above-mentioned ambulances will essentially contribute to the improvement of healthcare and increase of the availability of medical aid in the Republic, especially in the regions.
