The Embassy of Japan for the Schools of the Region of Ararat

The NGO “Development and Prosperity” and the Embassy of Japan in Armenia signed a contract, which in the frameworks of Grassroot Human  Security Projects envisages providing school furniture to 25 schools of the Region of Ararat, which are in need.
At the signing ceremony there were present the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Minoru Kiuchi, consultant to the Embassy of Japan Mr. Sasame Kenichiro, first secretary of the Embassy of Japan Yamagishi Keisuku, representatives from the NGO “Development and Prosperity”, the president of the NGO Gayane Gevorgyan, Deputy Governor of the Region of Ararat Ilyich Shadyan and the Head of the Department of Education and Culture Hasmik Gasparyan. By the way, the Embassy of Japan has started to function since January 1, 2015.
Deputy Governor Ilyich Shadyan by thanking on behalf of the Governor Rubik Abrahamayan said that the government and people of Japan have shown great humanity by helping the pupils of the Region of Ararat. He expressed hope that that first event in the Embassy of Japan would be continuous and their friendship would have deeper roots.
