For the fourth time in Armenia they will pass “Nihongu Noryuku Siken” (JLPT – Japanese Language Proficiency Test) exam in order to determine the level of Japanese among the people for whom Japanese is not a mother tongue.
The exam is held every year on the same day in all the participating countries. In case of passing the exam the applicant is given an international sample certificate, which is accepted by the majority of the Japanese companies. On the territory of Japan the exam is held by the Japanese Association of International Education Support and beyond its borders it is organized by Japan Foundation.
JLPT is held in Armenia by Japanese Language Teachers Asscoiation with the support of Japan Foundation. Japanese Language Teachers Asscoiation was established in 2011. The president is Karine Karamyan - the first teacher of Japanese in Armenia. Here the teachers of Japanese meet, exchange experience, hold different competitions among the students. The asssociation cooperates with the Embassy of Japan and Japan Foundation.
The applications for the participation in the exam are accepted at “IROHA” Armenian-Japanese Educational and Cultural Exchange Center, “Hikari” Armenian-Japanese Educational and Cultural Center, Armenian-Russian University.
