On November 10, 2017, at 19:00 p.m. at Yerevan State Puppet Theater named after Hovhannes Toumanyan took place a concert of “Traditional Japanese Music”.
It was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Republic of Armenia. The concert was organized by the Embassy of Japan in RA, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of RA, JTI- one of the biggest tobacco companies of the world, Hikati center and the Agency of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Japan.
The concert was opened with the greeting speech of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Armenia Eiji Taguchi. He presented the group office K2 “Japanese Music Project”.
After that the members of office K2 group, who had arrived from Tohoku region of Japan performed numerous traditional Japanese songs with traditional Japanese instruments.
They also performed Armenian songs with the traditional Japanese instruments, thus even more capturing the hearts of the audience.
