Dr. Tsugio Makimoto, «Technovision» company director, former executive director of «Hitachi» electronic devices group was awarded with doctorate degree by Armenian State Engineering University.
Tsugio Makimoto is in Yerevan with the invitation of Serzh Sargsyan, the president of the Republic of Armenia. Mediamax agency reports that today Dr. Tsugio Makimoto met with the staff and the students of the State Engineering University.
Ara Avetisyan, the rector of the Engineering University introduced the university history, achievements, main professional directions and goals. Tsugio Makimoto noted that Armenia itself prioritizes IT field. In his opinion, the University had its great contribution in this issue. «This field is also a priority for Japan. My dream is to have Armenian and Japanese cooperation in this field, particularly, in exchanging students, in developing and realizing programs together», – he said».
It needs to mention that Tsugio Makimoto has been awarded by the president of the Republic of Armenia for his great contribution in IT field.
