The statement of the Press Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Otaka Masato relating the confrontation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border: Japan expresses its concern relating recent armed confrontation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and human losses caused by it. Japan calls on all stakeholders to cease hostilities and manifest maximum restraint.The final settlement of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has an essential role for the peace and stability in the Caucasus region. Japan expresses its full support to the efforts of OSCE Minsk Group aimed at resolving the conflict between the two countries and expects peaceful settlement based on the principles of international law.
