On May 26, 2019 from 13:00 to 16:00 o’clock in the great hall of the Armenian-Russian Slavonic University took place the Second Japanese Contest-festival in Armenia “Neiro”, which was organized by IROHA center.
In the staff of the jury, there were included the ambassador of Japan in RA Mr. Jun Yamada, composer, musician and musical producer Shushan Sargsyan, the soloist of “Naghash” ensemble Tatevik Movsisyan and lecturer of Japanese Arihiko Hasegawa.
The opening of the event started with the famous dance of the members of IROHA center. After that, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Armenia Mr. Jun Yamada delivered a greeting speech.
Then Ruzan Khojikyan invited to the stage the director of the Institute of Humanities of Slavonic University Mr. Sargsyan.
After Mr. Sargsyan’s greeting speech there were presented the members of the jury. Then the contest was opened by Anahit Parsekova’s song “Sekai no yakusoku”. The second there performed Elina Yekmalyan with the song “Sakura-sakura”.
The third there performed the “Quintet of Folk Instruments” of the Specialized Music School after Alexander Spendiaryan with the performance “First Love”. And the forth was the pianist Ani Martoyan.
The next one was Diana Shaverdyan, who sang the song “Just be friends”.
After that there followed the performances of the dance duet “Nanami no hana” – “Kagura dance”, Raphayel Hovhannisyan – “Last dance”, Ovsanna Tumanyan “Bad apple and Gokuraku jodo”, Christina Grigoryan “Tender rain”, Lilit Vardanyan “Nan demo nai”, “Ginga” dance duet – “Galaxies”, Marina Ghazanchyan – “Tsukiakari”.
At the end of the festival, while the jury was carrying out their difficult responsibility of making a choice, there performed the 7 guests, who were invited to the festival:
1 . “Armenian Lao” – Tigran and Vardan Tadeosyans
2. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Armenia Mr. Jun Yamada
3. The soloist of “Naghash” ensemble Tatevik Movsisyan, Anahit Dilbaryan and Eduard Nersesyan
4. Ani Maghumyan
5. The band “History – Bad”
6. The student of Dilijan International School, the Japanese Suzuki Kento (duduk, piano)
7. The dance of the members of IROHA Center – “Tokyo Bon” dance.
Their performances entertained the guests.
And at the end of the event Tatevik Movsisyan announced the 3rd winner – “Quintet of Folk Instruments” of the Specialized Music School after Alexander Spendiaryan. The other member of the jury, teacher of Japanese in Armenia and the president of “JASC –Japan-Armenia Support Center” NGO announced the second winner- Christina Grigoryan.
The name of the first winner of the festival is Ovsanna Tumanyan. It was announced by the ambassador Jun Yamada.
