This exhibition is devoted to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan.
The Tohoku region is known for its original cultural heritage.
This Japanese exhibition, representing decorative-applied art, is devoted to the 25th anniversary of establishment of Japanese-Armenian diplomatic relations.
The Armenian art lovers have an oppotunity to get acquainted with the works of various genres-ceramics, lacquerware, textiles, metal works, wood and bamboo crafts-allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse and exquisite world of Tohoku traditions.
The works included in the exhibition discover newly the high level of traditional craft techniques in Tohoku region. The art and craftsmanship of these works also help us to better appreciate the folk wisdom derived from lives lived close to nature and the skills cultivated out of that wisdom.
