Armenian Culture Week in Tokyo 1

On March 22-27 there was held a week of Armenian culture in Tokyo, during which there took place different events with the participation of the Armenian and Japanese artists.

The week launched at “Daykanama Hillside Terrace” hall complex, where “Shogakai”Union of Japan presented the art of the Japanese calligrapghy withthe Armenian motives: there were presented the works of the Armenian designer, painter Arev Petrosyan and the Japanese artist Makoto Maeda.

During the week there took place the solo concert of Arax Mansouryan with the accompaniment of the Japanese pianist Takahiro Akiba, as well as other joint concerts of classical music performed by the Armenian and Japanese musicians. Within the frameworks of the events, there were also shows of the Armenian and Japanese movies.

The events of the Armenian Culture Week were organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Japan with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), community structures, Komitas Union, “Gallery Ginza Ichome” and other companies.
