On October 2, 2016 6th Contest of Japanese in Armenia (video)

On October 2, 2016, at 11:00 to 13:00 o’clock in Nairi hall of “Ani Plaza Hotel” took place the 6th contest of the Japanese language in Armenia for the students of Universities. The contest was financed by the Embassy of Japan to the Republic of Armenia Japan FoundationArmenian Association of the Teachers of Japanese and Mitsubishi Corporation in Russia.

This time again the contest was conducted by the winner of last year Mariam Amar. By announcing the opening of the contest, she gave the floor for a greeting speech to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Republic of Armenia Mr. Eiji Taguchi. Today also Ruzan Khojikyan took the role of the interpreter and wonderfully carried it out during the whole contest.

There delivered his greeting speech the director of Mitsubishi Corporation in Russia Mr. Minori Fukusawa.

Then the host informed the guests of the contest that though they had planned the performances of 9 people, one person wasn’t able to participate. Thus, that day there were 8 participants and she introduced the first participant Ghandilyan Lusine.

The second one to speak was a third-year student from Yerevan State University Petrosyan Lusine with the subject “The Rules of Having Success”.

The third one to speak was a second-year student from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Galoyan Polina with the subject “Why have I started to study Japanese?”

The forth one to speak was a student from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Harutyunyan Annabella with the subject “Proud of my Country”.

The fifth one was a third-year student from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Grigoryan Andranik with the subject “What does Happiness Cost?”

The sixth performance was by a third-year student from Yerevan State University Baghdasaryan Emma “Smile – the Key to Happiness”.

The seventh performance was by a second-year student from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Vardanyan Lusine “Relativity in Life”.

The last performance was by a third-year student from Yerevan State University Melkonyan Qristine.

After the performances, the jury left for about 20 in order to determine the winners of the two days. During that time, the organizers entertained the audience with different musical performances.

After a little bit long break for the audience, the jury returned and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Republic of Armenia Mr. Eiji Taguchi announced the winners and awarded them.

Except the students, the winners of all age categories are:

The winners for the students of universities are:

First place Harutyunyan Annabella

At the end, the ambassador of Japan Mr. Eiji Taguchi expressed his gratitude to the participants and encouraged them to continue to study Japanese and let the number of people who study Japanese continue to increase.
