Traditional Japanese painting «siborizome» method was presented at the History Museum of Armenia

In the History Museum of Armenia a seminar has been launched with the contribution of The Japan Foundation. The seminar has an aim for the restoration of the canvas. The seminar will last until February 22 within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan. Traditional Japanese painting «siboridzom» method was presented within the framework of this seminar. Dr. Mie Ishi has spent practical work and master classes. The seminar and Mie Ishi’s master classes have an aim of strengthening the ties between Japan and Armenia in the field of cultural values preservation and contribute to the further development and strengthening of the process of canvas maintaining. This seminar is the continuation of the agreement on «Armenia cultural heritage protection» signed in June 2011 between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the Tokyo’s Cultural Property’s National Research Institute. This seminar is also the continuation of the memorandum of understanding on «With the aim of preservation and study cooperation of Armenia History Museum archaeological metal objects» signed between Tokyo’s National Research Institute of Cultural Property, Tokyo and the History Museum of Armenia. 4 seminars and 3 International Conferences has already been conducted on «History museum of Armenia, archaeological bronze objects Restorations».
