Peace memorial was erected In Yerevan symbolizing the tragedy of Hiroshima

YEREVAN, on JUNE 25, Armenpress: 69 years later of Hiroshima atomic bombing on June 25, 2014 peace memorial-stone was placed in Yerevan municipality children park symbolizing that tragedy. According to «Armenpress» report, memorial-stone reminds us about the peace importance and symbolic step towards the Armenian-Japanese relations. The solemn ceremony opening of memorial-stone was attended by the senior officials from the Armenian legislative and executive bodies, from Japan delegation and representatives of Yerevan municipality.　Greating the participants, Varuzhan Nersessian President’s assistant of the Republic of Armenia noted that in 2012 Serge Sragsyan the President of the Republic of Armenia visited Japan and at that time a joint document was signed for further strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Japan and Armenia. The fixed provisions in the document concern on all spheres of the intergovernmental relations. Moreover, today, the peace memorial-stone opening is another symbolic step towards deepening Armenian-Japanese relations.
