Tourism Activities, which will take place in 2016 in Armenia

May 21 – “Tolma Festival”: Armavir Region, Musaler  village. The aim is to promote the Armenian cuisine and dishes.

June 4-5 – Eco-tourism festival – Vayots Dzor, Gomk and Martiros communities. The aim of the eco-tourism festival is to contribute to the development of eco-tourism in Gomk and Martiros communities of Vayots Dzor, as well as to raise the level of public awareness on eco-tourism.

June 11 – “Bread in the Mountains Festival”: at 17: 00-21: 00 In forepart of  Tumanyan Park  of Yerevan. The aim is to get acquainted with the history of bread baking culture and the ceremonies of the Armenians.

July 2 – Armenian Herbs Festival: Tavush  Region: Yenokavan

July 2 – “Syunik Goods” festival, Town of Goris, park of regional center, first Saturday of July (02.07.2016), start at 13:00 o’clock, (different communities will present their products, traditional food).

July 11 – “Taraz (National Costume) Festival”: Sarnaghbyur Village, Shirak Region. The participants of the festival introduce to the guests the traditional Armenian clothing – taraz.

July 10-17 – “Golden Apricot International Film Festival”: Yerevan. Organizer – www.gaiff.am:

August – At 11:00 o’clock in the beautiful nature of Ashotavan Community of Sisian area will be “Raspberry Festival” with the title “The People of SyunikRegion Treat”.

August 11-12 – “Navasard Festival”. The aim is to celebrate Pagan New Year.

August 19-29- FRESCO modern art and spirituai films International festival.

August 21 – “Honey and Berry Festival”: Berd Town, Tavush Region. The aim is to taste and sell different types of honey, berries, as well as drinks made from them.

September 17 – “Artsakh Wine Festival”: Hadrut Region Togh Village

September 24 – “Barbeque Festival”: Akhtala Town, Lori Region. It is a very popular festival of cuisine with the participation of dance ensembles.

September 25 – “Gata” Festival, last Saturday of September, Khachik village of Vayots Dzor Region, start at 12:00, (the residents will present traditional dishes from the national cuisine; you can taste the biggest gata – 2 meters in diameter, songs, folk dances).

October 1-8 – “International Theatre Festival”: Yerevan. Troupes of different countries take part in the festival. It is held for the 13h time.

September 30 and October 1 – “Wine Festival”: Areni Village, Vayots Dzor Region. This is one of the favourite festivals with the participation of local residents and many guests.

October 2 -  Vegan Fest Yerevan

October 6-12 - 4th International Festival of Aram Khachaturian

October 8 /Second Sunday of October/ – “Birthday of Erebouni-Yerevan”. In 2016, Yerevan celebrates its 2798-th anniversary.
