A Memorandum was signed between “Yerevan, My Love” foundation and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Armenia. According to it, in “Luse” rehabilitation center there will be established children’s integration room.

“Armnepress”reports: the director of “Yerevan, My Love” foundation Arshak Karapetyan mentioned that the memorandum announces the new beginning of mutual cooperation.

“By means of this memorandum we aim at having children’s integration room in “Luse” rehabilitation center of “Yerevan, My Love” foundation. In terms of sensory integration this room will be the only one in the whole republic. The need for this room is especially important for the children with autism”, said Karapetyan.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of RA Zaruhi Batoyan congratulated all the children and their parents for whom the children’s integration room will be established.

“Suchlike centers are especially important for ensuring the children’s right to live in the community. Walking in this direction is one of the policies of our country. We should take steps for the children not to be isolated from their peers because of disability or social problems. Its precondition is to have such centers in their community, which will help both the children and the specialists working with them, as well as their parents”, mentioned Batoyan.

Greeting the attendees, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in RA Jun Yamada said that it was a great pleasure for him to participate in the signing ceremony of such a memorandum.

“I am glad to inform that in the frameworks of “Grassroots Human Security Projects” 46.213 thousand US dollars of Japan Grant will now serve for the establishment of sensory integration room in “Luse” center jointly with “Yerevan, My Love” foundation. The room will create safe and friendly environment for the children”, mentioned the ambassador Yamada.

According to him the project aims at helping children with special needs to manage their emotions and to improve their skills to live independently.

After the signing ceremony of the memorandum the director of “Yerevan, My Love” foundation presented him with his own photo put in a frame, which was taken in the frameworks of another project of the foundation.
