Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT), headquartered in Tokyo, Japan is one of the largest tobacco companies in the world. JTI-Japan Tobacco International is the international tobacco division of Japan Tobacco Inc., which was created in 1999 when JT acquired international tobacco operations of the US multinational R.J. Reynolds. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, JTI is a truly international and multicultural business, employing 25,000 people and operating in 120 countries around the world.
The first supplies of JTI cigarettes to Armenia were made in August 2000, JTI established an office in the country in December 2001.
Currently our portfolio in Armenia consists of five brand families: Sobranie, Camel, Winston, LD and Monte-Carlo. Cigarettes are shipped to the Armenian and other Caucasian markets from JTI’s factories in Ukraine and Russia. Since 2000 JTI’s importer and distributor in Armenia has been “Arsoil” CJSC.
