Commemoration Ceremony Dedicated to the Memory of Victims of the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Cities

On August 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.,  near the plaque of Peace Covenant placed in Children’s Park of Yerevan, took place a commemoration ceremony dedicated to the victims of nuclear bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities. Such a ceremony near the plaque of Peace Covenant has been held every 5 years by the Armenian-Japanese Hikari Scientific-Cultural Center NGO. And the initial program was launched in 2005 on August 6, there launched the center’s first big action titled “Peace Lanterns”, which during years developed into a big peace and cultural program. The opening of the program began with speech of Deputy Mayor of Yerevan. Then had gave a speech Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in RA, after that the Hikari Center’s President and then the choir of that center sang.
