The cultural website Мир Искусства– Mir Iskustva (The World of Culture) calls superhuman the ideas, which lay in the basis of the Armenian alphabet.

In the article, which tells about the wonderful secrets of the Armenian alphabet, it is said that the names of the substances, which were known to people in the ancient times, are summarized in the Armenian alphabet. The number of the letters of the names of substances corresponds to the numbers of the substances in Mendeleev’s table. Thus, for example, Ա -A is the 1st letter in the alphabet, Ս-S is the 29th and so on. Thus, if we take the ancient Armenian name of the substance and add up the numbers of the letter, we will find that substance in Mendeleev’s table.

For example, let’s take the word Ոսկի (Gold): Ոis the24th letter of the alphabet, Սis the 29thԿis the 15thԻis the 11th

Ո+Ս+Կ+Ի = 24 + 29 + 15 + 11 = 79

And in Mendeleev’s table the 79th element is Gold. In this regularity, it is possible to find seven noble metals, which have been known since ancient times.

The Armenian alphabet has been created 1464 years before the creation of Mendeleev’s table and the names of noble metals have been known even before that.

And the author of the article considers this curious connection extraordinary and superhuman.
