On April 28, 2019 from 16:00 to 17:45 o’clock at “Loft” center “IROHA” Armenian-Japanese Educational and Cultural Exchange Center presented to the Armenian and foreign audience who were in Armenia at the moment, the history of the Japanese dance, the directions and other interesting facts and details. The presenter was Master (Shihan) of Hanayagi direction of the traditional Japanese stage dance Hanayagi Mimoyu. Hanayagi Mimoyu (real name is Tanaka Tamaki) was taught by master Hanayagi Mihoko when he was 2 years and 10 months old. He first appeared on the stage when he was 3 years old and already at the age of 15 he acquires his stage name Hanayagi Mimoyu. After leaving many years abroad, at the age of 29 he acquires the rank of Shihan (honorable master).
At present he lives in Singapore. Due to his job, he is engaged as an expert in JICA assistance programs carried out in Armenia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and in other countries.
Travelling around the world he tries to maintain and transfer the beauty and depth of the Japanese culture and present the traditional Japanese dancing art as part of the Japanese culture.
His Japanese speech was translated into Armenian by the president of “IROHA” NGO Ruzan Khojikyan.
