Japan ready to boost ties with Armenia, PM Abe says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Japan is ready to strengthen and develop ties with Armenia in every area of cooperation, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told the visiting Armenian parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the Armenian-Japanese interparliamentary partnership has been passing through important stages of development in recent years, sure to leave a positive impact on cooperation between the two countries.

The Armenian speaker, in turn, expressed hope that the already efficient cooperation will further deepen on international multilateral platforms.

Also, the two discussed a number of issues concerning cooperation in economic, trade, cultural and tourism sectors, as well as outlined possible ways of cooperation in other areas.

Towards the end of the meeting, Sahakyan invited Abe to Yerevan on behalf of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
