PanARMENIAN.Net – On May 23, during the discussion of the budget execution for 2015 at the National Assembly,  the deputy of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Sukias Avetisyan asked the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Haykaram Mkhitaryan, when the brigades of the fire-fighting service would join Gyumri rescue service, which needed them.

“It has already been two years that I am raising this question, but there is no solution. It refers to Gyumri, I have tried to carefully analyze the situation, but we cannot resolve the issue of the work of the fire-fighting brigades. If in the Soviet times we had several fire-fighting divisions, today we have only one. Unfortunately, we have also the issue of big capacity trucks”, said Mkitaryan, writes the website Tert.am.

At the same time, he informed that by the end of the year, they would receive fire-fighting trucks from Japan.

“We will receive 38 fire-fighting trucks, which will not be provided to the divisions of the capital. The main part will be sent to Gyumri”, said Mkhitaryan.

In 2010, the park of Yerevan Fire-fighting service was replenished with 28 trucks, brought from Japan. In 2014, the organization “Civil Defense without Borders” donated to the Ministry of Emergency Situation of the Republic of Armenia 4 “Reno” fire-fighting trucks with fire-fighting equipment.
