The President and the Ambassador of Japan have discussed the Situation Caused by the Coronavirus

The President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan has received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Armenia Jun Yamada.

The Department of Information and Public Relations of the President informs that the interlocutors exchanged thoughts about the practical components of the Armenian-Japanese cooperation taking into consideration today’s situation caused by the spreading of new coronavirus, as well as the future projects.

The ambassador Yamada presented the situation in Japan and the measures related to it. There were discussed the opportunities of mutual assistance under the current conditions. The president Sargsyan thanked for the continuous support of Japan to Armenia, particularly for the provision of the tests necessary for the diagnosis of coronavirus.

During the meeting they have also spoken about the conduction of joint programs and projects in the spheres of information and high technologies, innovation, nuclear safety waste management and in the frameworks of the presidential initiative ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow).
