VIDEO, PHOTO: Japanese Hanami Festival Celebrated in Parliament Park

On April 16, 2026, the Hanami festival was once again held in the garden of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

The event was attended by the members of the Armenia–Japan Friendship Group of the National Assembly, including its head Babken Tunyan, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Aoki Yutaka.

It should be noted that on May 12, 2015, sakura trees brought from Japan were planted in the garden of the National Assembly at the initiative of the Japan–Armenia Union, the Armenia–Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, and the “V ANN” company. This year, the event was once again organized by the the Armenia–Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group and the “V ANN” company.
