On May 12, 2025 (Monday) 6:00 PM, another cultural exchange was held in the Iroha Center. This time, the guest of the center was Dr. Yoshiaki Damon Hagiwara, a recipient of the Armenian State Award for Global Contribution to High-Tech, with his wife and son. Dr. Hagiwara worked for many years at Sony contributing to the development of semiconductor chips, especially the CCD photosensitive matrix for commercial portable cameras.

He was the founder and president of the AIPLAB consortium focusing on artificial intelligence peer-to-peer systems.

Currently, he continues his innovative work as the President of LOCOMTEC AIPS Laboratory in Atsugi, Japan, developing AI (artificial intelligence) robotics systems solutions for clean energy and the SDGs (sustainable development goals).

Dr. Hagiwara shared his inspiring journey in the tech industry, including his pioneering work in semiconductors and the development of CCD image sensors for portable cameras during his time at Sony. He was joined by esteemed colleagues and fellow experts who offered valuable insights into microschemes and cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.
