On October 29, at the “JICA Global Square” Center of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Tokyo, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Japan and with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), an event dedicated to the promotion of inbound tourism to Armenia, initiated by the Tourism Committee of RA, took place.

Representatives of partner organizations, tourism companies, as well as media representatives were invited to the event.

In his opening speech, the Ambassador of Armenia, Areg Hovhannisian,

welcomed the initiative of organizing the event, thanked the Japanese partner organizations, briefly presented the tourist destinations of Armenia, such as cultural, winter, gastrotourism and other destinations, wishing success to the event.

Mr. Fukushima Masanori, former Ambassador of Japan to Armenia, expressed hope that the event will contribute to the growth of tourism exchanges between the two countries.

In their presentation, the representatives of the Tourism Committee presented the tourist attractions of Armenia and drew a lottery.

The event was accompanied by duduk performances by Japanese Yasu Tarumi, and at the end of the reception, Armenian wine, cognac, gata, dried fruits, as well as tolma prepared by a Japanese chef were served to the attendees.
