On March 20, 2016 at 11:00-13:00 o’clock at the House of the Artists’ Union of Armenia took place the master class of Sumi-e painting, which was organized by the Embassy of Japan to RA and “Hikari” Armenian-Japanese scientific-cultural center. During the lesson, Yamada Sensei showed the audience a picture,
then she approached the audience, which had painting materials and estimated their works already done and gave them advice.
After that, the ambassador of Japan in Armenia Mr. Eiji Taguchi delivered a speech.
At 14:00-16:00 o’clock there took place the presentation of tea-drinking ceremony. As the person, who makes tea, should keep silence, Yamada sensei standing nearby told about it and gave instructions,
and her student made tea and treated all the attendees on the stage, and other assistants too. With the help of Yamada sensei they even treated the people, who had registered beforehand and consequently were sitting at the tables.
Then after a 3 hours’ break, from 19:00 to 21:00 p.m. there took place the exhibition of kimonos, of course with the accompaniment of Yamada sensei’s speech on the historical allusion of kimono.
During the whole day, Yamada sensei’s explanations in Japanese were made understandable for the audience due to the interpreter Lilit Khansulyan.
